If Laurel is installed outside of a Citrix environment, would that client be able to monitor activity inside the environment?

Generally, no. Laurel is designed to meet high security and trust standards by collecting work in target environments. Using industry leading virtual environments requires Laurel to be deployed within those environments and ensure user profiles and authentication is setup to persist.

For cloud based collection, such as MS Teams conference calls, Laurel will collect those activities directly from the vendor (ie. Microsoft Graph API) which means while a conference could take place in a Citrix virtual environment โ€” the call will still appear for the user if they are configured to collect MS Teams.

This will be true for all Laurel cloud-based collection services.
