Laurel simplifies timekeeping by collecting your work activities and displaying them in a review-ready timesheet. As a delegate, you can efficiently manage time entries for others by viewing, editing, and submitting them. Here's everything you need to know.
Logging in to Laurel Web App
To access your delegator’s timesheet and manage time entries, you only need to log in to the Laurel web-based app:
Open any browser and head to app.laurel.ai.
Log in using your SSO credentials.
Setting Up Delegate Access
Your delegator must assign you as their delegate before you can access their timesheet.
For Delegators:
Click on your initials in the bottom left corner of the Laurel window to access Account Settings.
Select Identity and Access Management.
Enter the delegate’s name or email in the Add Delegate field and click Add.
Click Save.
Note: If you don’t see the delegate’s name, contact the Laurel team to ensure their account is created.
Switching Between Delegators
If you have access to multiple delegators’ timesheets, switching between them is easy:
At the top left of your timesheet, click the Delegators dropdown menu.
Select the name of the delegator whose timesheet you want to manage.
Your workspace will switch to display their timesheet.
Editing a Time Entry
Click into the entry you want to edit.
Update details such as time worked, description, or matter.
Click Save to confirm changes.
Reassigning Time Entries
If a time entry is assigned to the wrong client or matter, you can reassign it:
Select the entry.
Click Assign in the top header.
Search for the correct client or matter.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Tip: You can also reassign entries from the Recent Matters list:
Bulk Reassigning Time from a Temporary Matter
Locate the temporary matter entry and click the three-dot menu.
Select Bulk Actions to open the Time Control page.
Use the search bar to find the temporary matter.
Select all relevant entries by checking the box next to Date.
Click Assign, search for the correct matter, and click Save.
Deleting Entries from the Timesheet
Select the entries you want to delete by clicking their checkboxes.
Navigate to More Options at the top of the timesheet and click Delete.
Confirm the deletion by clicking Confirm.
Submitting Entries for Release
After reviewing all entries, you can submit them for billing:
Releasing All Entries
Click Release in the top right corner of the timesheet or press r on your keyboard.
Review the entries to ensure accuracy.
Click Release Entries to submit them.
Releasing Individual Entries
Select the entry or entries you want to release.
Click Release Entries.
Confirm the release after reviewing.
Important Notes:
Only entries with a status of 'Ready for Release'✅ can be released.
Entries with a warning symbol ⚠️ require additional information.
Once released, entries cannot be edited or deleted. Any further edits must be made directly in your firm’s billing system.
