Laurel directly integrates with Zoom to capture any meetings you attend or phone calls you make/receive. Once the call/meeting is completed, you should expect to see it on your Timeline once the information is available via Zoom’s API.

What information is Laurel able to capture?

The information available for each type of activity slightly differs. The below shows what you should expect.

Meetings

For any Zoom meetings you attend, Laurel captures the following:

  • Start time

  • Stop time

  • Duration

  • Meeting title

  • Meeting participants:

    • Name of participant

    • Phone number of participant

Phone Calls

If you use Zoom’s VOIP service to make/receive phone calls, Laurel captures the following:

  • Start time

  • Stop time

  • Duration

  • Participant information:

    • Name of callee

    • Phone number

What will show up for me?

Once you complete your call/meeting, you will see an activity appear on your Timeline with the following details:

Meetings

We will place your meeting on your Timeline at the time it began, along with its associated duration. You will also see the Title (topic) of the meeting you attended, and we’ll show you the names of the participants who have joined the meeting; if the name is unavailable (e.g., they joined by phone), then we will show the phone number.

Phone Calls

We will place your phone call on your Timeline at the time it began, along with its associated duration. You will also see the name of the participants who attended the call; if the name is unavailable (e.g., they joined by phone), then we will show the phone number.

Note: If you add more participants to a call (merge calls), then Zoom’s API will only show the participant information for all participants for the person who made the call (the Caller). Due to privacy, the other participants on the call will only see that they had a call with the person who started it.

Important:

  • You must ensure you are signed in for calls to be picked up and added to your Laurel instance.

  • If you join a meeting with no participants, the meeting will not show up as Zoom does not log a call record, and therefore Laurel cannot show it.
